Firsts. (LEWIS!!!!)

Monica gritted her teeth. Ready to rip the boy to shreds.
She grabbed Taku's shirt in her hand ready to throw a punch at his face. "What did you say!?" She asked her eyes turning black. She hated how he was making Hal feel miserable, and how he was making her feel like a total idiot.

Taku looked up in alarm. "Don't kill me!" He shouted, and Hal looked up. "Woah! Chill out, Monica..." He said, not really intent on letting a demon smash his brother's face in.

Monica dropped Taku and sat back crossing her arms over her chest. She didn't say anything but knew what they were probably thinking. What the fuck? she thought to herself. You're so stupid; Hal probably thinks you're mental. You deserve to die. she thought to herself, and kept repeating that thought until she was basically torn up inside.
"Sorry." She muttered her eyes returning to normal.

"Hey, no problem..." Taku said, sighing. "I guess i wen a little bit over the edge, Sorry about that." He said, and Hal looked over at him. "Can we talk outside for a second...?" He asked, and Taku sighed. "Yeah, sure." They got up, walking outside. Easily audiable to Monica, but out of view, Hal asked one question. "Where do you want it?"

A few seconds later, there was a thud, then Taku walked back in to the cave, a bruise under his left eye. Hal walked in afterwards, flexing his fist.

Monica looked up and gasped at Taku.
"Holy shit man! What'd you do hit him in the face of throw a tree at his head?" she stood up and walked to Taku looking at his eye.
"It's worse then i would have given you." She said.
Monica had to stand on her tip-toes to see his eye properly. "Damn." She said feeling a bit attracted to Hal for his strength.

Taku shrugged, smiling weakly. "I deserved it. Anyway, i've had worse. I got off lucky..." He said, holding up his left hand. It had a knife wound running through the palm to the top of the hand.

Hal sat down again, silently, at the edge of the cave. Now he'd made himself look like a psycotic idiot.

Monica looked at his scar and stared back at his eye. "Damn that boy has an arm." She said amazed. "Fuckin' hell."
Monica looked back at Hal. Why do you have to be so perfect?

Taku sat down opposite Hal. "Ok, now that that---ow. It hurts to talk.--anyway, now that that's cleared up, let's test this theory of mines." He said, and Hal nodded. "You two get some rest. I'll stay awake."

Monica lay down on the cave's floor next to the warm fire and just stared into it. Thinking about Hal's lips.
She shook herself from her daze, not wanting that to get in the way.
"Sorry for almost slaughtering your brother." She said with a weak smile to Hal.

Hal smiled back. "If you didn't i would've in he end..." He said, joking and looking over at Taku. "look at that, he's already sleeping, the lazy bastard." He said, oh shit, it's just us now...what am i supposed to say? he said in his head.

Monica shook her head. "He really needs to go out and get laid." She said, it kind of slipped from her mouth. She smiled slightly.
"sorry." She said again quietly.

Hal laughed, quietly. "You can go ahead and crash out too, if you want." He said, smiling. "I'm keeping watch tonight."

Monica crossed her arms in front of her lying on her stomach and rested her chin on them looking up at Hal.
"I don't want to, I feel bad for letting you stay up by yourself." She said sincerely. She felt weird being so sensitive, it sort of sickened her.

"Nah, it's no biggie..." Hal said, smiling down at her. Everything about her stunned him beyond words.

Monica shook her head. "No. I'm not sleeping." She said and pulled her red hair over her shoulder staring at him still. She didn't trust Taku, and she wanted to hear Hal say the three little words that buzzed in her head. "Hal? What did you say before you kissed me?"

Hal froze, his eyes widening. He went bright red. "Uhh..." He started, not knowing how to say it, if he was to say it quickly. or slowly.

Monica sat up moving closer towards him. Her gaze soft, her pale face frozen with curiosity.
"Hal, It's okay. You can tell me." She said feeling slightly idiotic for trying to force the words out of him. She needed to hear them; she needed to tell him the same thing.
She could feel the heart in her chest beating quickly, for the second time in her life she felt her own heart.

Hal wasn't able to contain it any longer. He turned, looking in to Monica's eyes. "Monica..." He whispered, softly, "I love you."

Monica looked at him with a pause.
Holy shit!
She took a deep breath. "I-I love you too." She said her voice was soft, meaningful, and somewhat seductive.

Hal stoppedbreathing for a few seconds. He was speechless. how could she love him?

Monica looked down at her feet.
"Please say something." She said feeling like a complete idiot now.
How could she be so stupid, he was probably joking around.

Hal looked up. "Then everything's perfect..." He said, and moonlight flooded the cave, giving it a blue-ish glow.

Monica looked up at him and smiled slightly. Her red eyes turning a bright Purple.
"That makes me feel much better." She said softly.

"Yeah, me too." Hal said, then put an arm around her. "It's kinda strange," He told her, "I always thought i'd hate every demon, half-demon or anything in between until the day i died. But then you come along and prove me wrong." He said, smiling.

Monica smiled slightly. "I didn't think i'd ever be stabel enough to love." She said quietly and stared up at him.
