Firsts. (LEWIS!!!!)

Taku had carved a beautiful picture of an otter curling around the wood of the bow, and he gently blew off the sawdust.

Hal turned round to face Monica, and their eyes locked. He froze and his heart skipped a beat, blood rushing to his cheeks.

Monica looked away after a few seconds. "W-We should go now." she said with a nervous shaky laugh.

"Y-yeah..." Hal said, looking down. He felt like an idiot. Taku looked up, looked at them both, and instantly understood the situation. He smiled wryly to himself. "They're going places..." He said, slinging his bow over one shoulder. As he walked past Monica he quietly said "Tell him how you feel" without looking up. He walked beside his brother, grinning. "Wow, look at those cheeks! looks like you ran a marathon!" He whispered, grinning. "SSH!" Hal replied, ducking his head further down.

Monica set her jaw when Taku said that. She had no tiime for useless emotions now. But she couldn't help it at all.
Monica let herself fal to the back of the group behind the two brothers. Her thoughts wandered.

Taku continued to tease Hal, as a good big brother always should.

"You love her, don't you?"
"Shh!"
"Hehehehe! I'll enjoy this!"
"I hate you..."
"Oh, not yet you don't."
"oh, really?"
"You're a whisperwind! just turn round and kiss her, already!"
"Oh yeah, cause i'm really that brave."
"Oh, go on! I garuantee she'd like it."
"I have rspect for her, you know..."
"You're just saying that in the hope that she overhears us..."
"Did i tell you that i hate you?"
"Yeah..."
"Yeah, well i do."

Monica herd snipits of hteir conversation, like Hal telling Taku that he hated him, and Taku saying something that she was going to like something.
She scoffed. Wondering what the hell they were bickering on about.

Hal sighed.

"Why do you torment me?"
"Because it's fun..."
"Do you hate me or something?"

Taku laughed. "i know Monica doesn't hate you!" He said, then realised just how loudly he said it, slowly turning round. Both brothers gave a nervous laugh, then looked at each other.

"That's great, Taku."
"What? now she knows..."
"Ah, shut up.."

Monica rolled her eyes. "I'm surounded by idiots." She said under her breath. But she stared at Hal.

Hal felt Monica's gaze, and went red again. Taku opened his mouth again, but Hal held up his finger. "Not right now, man..." He said, and Taku looked over at Monica. "point taken." He said, grinning at her and waving.

Monica smiled nervously and waved to him slightly. I'm going to kill him, he annoys the hell out of me. she thought and stared at her feet.

"You're like a barrier, you know that?" Hal said, and Taku grinned. "That i am.." He said, and Hal shoved him out of the way. "Come on, get outta here!" He shouted after him, and he heard Taku's laugh. He dropped back, walking beside Monica. "Try to ignore Taku..." He said, sighing.

Monica smiled.
"He's kind of a dick." She said nonchalantly.
Her eyes staring after Taku, ignorance boiled in her body. Taku was getting under her skin.

"Yeah, i agree," Hal said, smiling. Something about them clicked. It scared Hal, but made him feel happy as well. Made him feel wanted.

Monica looked to the trees keeping close eye out for any attackers. she felt the seering pain in her chest and she winced slightly.
"Fuck." She whispered and held her hand to the wound.

Hal looked round. "What is it...?" He asked, concerned.

*Fail >.>*

Monica shook her head. "It's nothing. Its just my chest. . . It burns." She winced once more. Knowing it was probably the poison finally working.

"What? What's wrong with it?" Hal said, quickly. He turned round to fully face Monica. "Tell me, please..."

Monica gritted her teeth. "I think the. . . the assassin stabbed me with a knife covered in poison." She winced. The poison was now only taking affect because of how fast her heart was beating.

Hal froze on the spot. "Oh god..." He whispered, trying to block out what Monica just said.

Monica felt light headed. And without warning colapsed.

*Fail*

Hal gasped, dropping to her side. "Monica...MONICA!" He shouted, and Taku looked round. "Oh, shit..." He whispered.

"Monica, wake up, stop messing me about, eh? please?" He begged, tears welling up in his eyes. "Come on, i love you!" He said, and the words seemed to ring out in midair.

Monica was out cold. Hal's voice was barely audible, she heard muffled yells. The pain swelling and increasing. Stings shot through her veins. It was running through her blood quickly, if she was fully human she would have been dead hours ago.

"Shit, What the fuck do i do?!" Hal shouted, desperatley, then realised he'd have to somehow remove the poison...but how the fuck was he supposed to do that? Taku ran to his side. "What happened to her...?" He asked, and Hal looked up. "She's poisoned..."

*pffft, do the awesome life thing. the BOOM I BROUGHT YOU BACK!*

Monica was slipping away more and more by the second.

*Uhm, ok lol*

Hal looked down. "Don't leave me..." He whispered, pressing his lips to hers. He wasn't going to move until she woke up, or until they were both dead.
