Firsts. (LEWIS!!!!)

*I'm such an idiot.*

Monica's grip on Hal's hand tightened.

*Nah *

Hal sighed. "Really, i'll be fine." He said. "Trust me."

Monica frowned.
"Ok."

Taku sighed. "I guess it's gonna start getting dark soon. We'll have answers soon."

With that Monica fell asleep with her head rested on Hal's shoulder.
Her red hair hung around her and clung to her face.

Taku looked over at Hal. "Get some rest." He said, and Hal nodded, closing his eyes. Taku did the same, but listened closely for anyone sneaking in to the cave.

A dark figure sweapt across the trees.
He held a corps over his shoulder, blood dripping from the gashes in the man's body. A smirk was sprawled across the figures face.
He was trying to be very quiet only failed, and fell to the ground, the mangled dead body falling on top of him. His breath being taken away form the impact of the ground.
*Some assassin/ninja he is.*

Taku looked over, at the figure, two electric blue eyes flashing through the darkness and resting on the man's face. "Fucking idiot.." He said, sighing and getting up. He casually put a knife to the man's throat. "Talk." He said, smirking.

The figure felt the cold burn of the blade against the skin of his throat. His breathing stopped annd he tried not to swallow. He stared up at the man with green eyes, they looked like that of a viper.
His hood fell back, exsposing thick black hair. He pushed the corps off of his body slowly and blinked hard. He couldn't believe he had been caught.
"About what?" He asked. His voice was low and scratchy, a waver audible as he spoke.
The man closed his eyes tightly. He honestly had no clue what the Shadows were up to, they just sent him out to hang the dead bodies, all he knew was that they had his brither captive.
"I don't know anything."

"You wouldn't be here if you knew nothing." Taku replied, his grip on the knife tightening. "Somebody sent you." He said, and Hal stirred, looking over. He smiled to himself, painfully getting up and walking over. He pulled out a blunt hammer. "Talk or i'll crush your fingers. One at a time." He said, calmly.

The figure winced. "Please, don't hurt me. I was sent by the Shadows. They have my brother. I honestly have no clue why they need me to do this. You have to believe me." He said closing his green eyes.
The man was sincere, he just wanted his brother safe. "I'm sure if you were in my place you'd do anything to save family." His voice was quiet.

Taku's gaze flickered over to the stab wound in Hal's stomach for a split second, and he slowly stood up. Hal looked over at him, then threw the hammer to the side. "Start finding stuff out, when they send you with the body tomorrow night, tell us anything...anything...that you've found out. If they think you're dead then they'll off your brother for sure. Act casual, and we'll be able to get your brother back. Hurry up, you're probably late as it is."

The figure nodded slightly and ran off.
"thanks!" He yelled as he faded into the darkness.

Hal watched him go. "If he doesn't do what we say, we're back at square 1." He said, and Taku looked round at him. "Back? We're already at square 1."

The figure raced through the forest and soon came to a dark figure sitting on a branch. He paused and looked up.
"I did it."
"Good." The one in the tree murrmered. It was a woman's voice.
"Why are you doing this anyways?" the first one asked.
The figure told him everything.

Hal shrugged, then turned to Monica. "You OK?" He asked, then winced as the pain in his stomach returned.

Monica had awaken when Hal had gotten up. she stared up at the brothers. "Yeah i'm fine."

Hal watched as it started to rain. "So, you wanna leave or what?" He asked Monica, not looking back.

Monica shook her head. It was still night out, she felt like she could take in a few hours of sleep.

Hal nodded, and Taku sighed, sliding down the side of the cavern wall. Hal watched the rain, staring. He'd always liked the rain, the sound of it, the look of it.

Monica closed her eyes and was asleep within seconds.

Taku dozed off, sliding lazily to his side. When he woke the next morning, Hal was still watching the rain. He hadn't moved an inch. Taku slowly sat up, looking around. Monica was still asleep. "What now?" Hal asked, quietly, without turning round. Taku looked at him surprisedly, then sighed. "we can only hope that the kid found some stuff out." He said, standing up.

The boy's black and white hair clung to his cheecks. His green eyes searching the forest for any sine that he was being followed.
When he came to a clearing where he'd left the corps and where the two brothers were he stopped running. Rain water dripped off his face and down his chin.
"hello?" He said breathlessly.

Hal looked round. "Yeah?" He asked, casually, and Taku smiled to himself. good, he thought, we have a lead at last

The boy looked at them with concern.
"They do it because it's fun, because they hate demons more than anything. And her father's hate for her just draws them in. I'm not sure on the rest. It wasn't very clear."
