Firsts. (LEWIS!!!!)

Taku looked over at her, then at Hal, then back at her. "Something up?" He asked, quietly. He hoped that Monica would trust him.

Monica looked to Hal then back at Taku. Monica shruged slightly, She honestly had no clue what she'd say to Taku, or what She even felt.

Taku paused for a few minuites. "Nothing?" He said, after a while, then smiled. "You can tell me anything. Don't worry, i won't share it with Hal." He said, then realised that might sound weird.

Monica nodded slightly.
"I honestly had no clue what i was doing." She said with a sigh. "This, with me and Hal, it will never work. One of us would end up getting hurt in some way." she looked up at Taku. "I have no clue what i'm feeling right now. And it scares me."

Taku listened to Monica, then at the end nodded. "Just you watch..." He said, smiling, "It'll work out between you two. I'm sure of it."

Monica looked at him with a glare. "How can you be so sure?" She asked and stole a glance at Hal, wondering if he was wondering what her and Taku were talking about.

Hal stared in to the fire, thinking about how stupid he was for thinking Monica even liked him.

Taku smiled. "You like him, right?"

Monica shrugged. "I don't know, i've never liked someone." She said with a sigh.

Taku nodded. "Fair enough..." He said, and looked over at Hal, who was looking at Monica. He looked back at her, and smiled. "Did you hear what hee said before he kissed you?" He asked, quietly.

Monica shook her head slightly. "I was a bit busy trying not to die, all i heard was muffled yelling . . . I think." She glanced at Hal and then her gaze went back to Taku. "What did he say?" She knew for a fact that Taku probably wouldn't tell her. He probably wanted Hal to tell her himself.
She thought about the possibilities of what that could have been and didn't think of anything that would make enough sense to her

Taku's voice was a whisper now. "He said he loved you..." He told her, grinning.

Monica looked at him for a second and blinked. Not heading him correctly. "Say again?" she said somewhat afraid what the answer would be, because she felt the same way.
Even if she didn't want to.

Taku grinned wider. "You heard what i said..." HE said, leaning back and closing his eyes. "You two would be kinda nice together, you know..."

Monica shook her head. "No no no no no. That can't happen, no. Spirit and half-demon do not go together. I'm a death-trap for the both of you." She looked over at Hal. "No, I can't love him. But I do." She said softly to herself, just barely audible to Taku.

"Everything works out in the end..." Taku said, quietly, suddenly serious. "I promise you that much."

Monica sighed slightly.
"What do i say to him?" she asked slightly afraid of saying something idiotic to Hal now.

Taku shrugged. "Just tell him how you feel."

Hal had noticed them talking, and was watching them, unable to hear but still curious.

Monica shook her head. "Noooooooooo" She said somewhat loudly.
"I can't do that. I'm too scared." She said and sighed slightly. "Thatnks for the help."

Taku smiled. "Anytime." He said, then paused, and added. "By the way, welcome to the family." He said, winking and smiling.

Hal walked over to them, sitting down. "Looks like you're having a pretty interesting conversation..." he said, smiling. "Mind if i join in?"

Monica smiled at Taku for a second and then when Hal walked over her expression turned blank and she was tongue tied. The words got caught in her throat so she just nodded.

Hal sighed as he half sat, half fell down, then looked over at Monica for a second, then to Taku. damn it, what did you say...? he thought, going slightly red. Hopefully the firelight would hide it.

Monica cleared her throat.
"Okay, on to your guys' little plan. How the hell do you think you'll find my father?" She asked. "And how do you think you'll get a Shadow to talk? They kill themselves to keep everything a secret."

"Oh, that's if we let him." Taku replied, and Hal looked over. "You sure you'll be able to stop him and me killing him?" He asked, and Taku laughed. "Why don't you ask Monica to keep you occupied?" He teased, and Hal blushed, strongly this time. "Yeah, sure." He said, and Taku laughed again.

Monica bared her fangs and glared at Taku.
"I'm sure we can handel it." She said her black wolf ears twitching somewhat and her tail wrapped itself around her waist again.

"I'm sure you can..." Taku said, twisting the words and grinning evilly.
