opposites attract

Jaxle nodded, stepping in to the back seat, silently. He felt empty, after seeing Hal and Monica. Alone. He couldn't wait until this was all over.

Monica looked through the review mirror seeing Jaxel's face. She saw nothing in his eyes but there was a sort of alone feeling that came from him. There was somthing wrong. "Jaxel? What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Jaxle said, looking away in embarrasment. He couldn't get these thoughts out of his head.

Ghost looked over. "Looks like they've started moving again..." he said, starting the engine. He heard sniffling behind him. He didn't even bother turning round. "Bloo, cut it out." He said, coldly.

Bloo had tears in his eyes again.

"I'm sorry, but the engine is just a work of art!" He said, his eyes shining.

Scarlet's sudden sympathy went back to digust. "How?" she asked once more.

Monica looked at him and frowned. "Don't lie to me." she was his mother after all.

"Honestly, it's nothing." Jaxle replied, looking out the window. At the headlights rapidly speeding towards them. "Oh shit..." He started, as the range rover smashed in to the side of the car, rolling it over again and again. It came to a standstill upside down. Hal lay on the roof of the car, not moving, soaked in blood. Jaxle lay next to him, reaching for his revolver. He began firing at the the range rover, speeding towards them again. At the last second, it swerved, as Jaxle hit the driver, but it caught the end of the car, spinning it around again. Hal was thrown against the back seats and went limp. Jaxle was impaled in the armrest and cried out in pain. "OH GOD! GOD DAMN IT!" He shouted, grabbing the armrest. "What the fuck?!"

Ghost watched with horror as the car was tossed about like a plaything. "Oh shit..." He said, pulling up and running over to the car, and looking inside. "Oh, jesus christ...shit..."

Monica lie soaked in blood. Her head had been smashed against the roof, the gear shift stick had broken off and was lodged in her leg. Three ribs cracked and a shards of glash from the widows had cut a huge gash in her stomach shoulder and small cuts were all over her face.
She gritted her teeth as she gripped the shift stick in her leg and ripped it our quickly. “Fuck!” she cried and threw it at the dashboard.
“Hal?” She looked over towards Hal’s limp body and horror washed over her face. “Hal!?”

Hal lay on his side, his arm broken in several places. His eyes were shut, and his right leg had been crushed by the smashed-in door. He was bleeding heavily from a gash across his chest. Blood dripped from his mouth. Ghost tried forcing the door open, but it had been damaged beyond repair. "Oh shit..." He said, looking at Jaxle, who was swearing and trying to remove the armrest. Eventually, he fell to the side, bleeding heavily. Scopes ran over, starting to smash the doors.

Monica gritted her teeth. One of the windows were smashed open. She crawled towards it, getting only a few inches and stopped. Blood rushing over her body.
She lay back down and put her hand over the gash in her stomach. Blodd coated her hand and she bit her lip, pressing down on the wound hard, to stop the blood flow.

Scarlet helpped them try and open the door. "Fuckin' Hell!"

Bloo looked round, then gasped. "We didn't kill all of them..." He said, then a single gunshot rang out, and he flew backwards on to the top of the car wreck, blood splattering over it. Te looked down at the blood pulsing from his chest, and slipped off the wreck, falling forwards. Scopes looked up, raising his rifle. Another shot cracked through the night air,and Scopes gasped, staggering backwards. The shot had ripped through his stomach, and he fell to his knees, blood dripping dow. "Damn it..." He said, gritting his teeth. He tried using his rifle to help him up, but it slipped, and he fell to the floor hard. Ghost pulled scarlet down with him, pulling out a black desert eagle magnum.

Scarlet's eyes grew wide. "Bloo!" she felt Ghost pull her down and she stared at Bloo's body, not wanting to feel the emptiness again, or the hurt. Now she knew how Monica felt.

Bloo watched the assassins walking towards them. These weren't any ordinary assassins. These were elites. Ghost jumed out of cover, and a gunshot went off. He fell to the floor, bleeding from the shoulder, and his pistol flew away. The three elites walked up, and the first one aimed a huge pistol at Bloo's head.


One shot rung out across the scene of the crash, and Ghost flinched. "Bastards..." He said, looking over at Scopes, who had stopped moving.

Scarlet covered her hands over her mouth to keep herself from screaming

*Fail*

The assassin swayed for a moment, then fell backwards. Behind him, a figure stood in a black suit with an overcoat, holding a black pistol. He had black hair, and black eyes. Another assassin spun round firing machine gun rounds in his direction, and hitting nothing. Another shot went off and the second assassin fell, dead. The third panicked, aiming the gun at Scarlet. Ghost growled, jumping in front of her, then the assassin froze. "Drop it." A voice said, and the assassin obliged. Then a bullet passed through his skull, and he fell forwards, revealing the figure in the suit. "Jesus, you're all in a bit of a mess..." He said, helping Bloo to rest against the side ofthe smashed car. He ripped a door off, and dragged Hal out. "Damn, he's pretty badly fucked up..." The figure said, then turned round. "well, do something!" He said, and Ghost paused for a few seconds, then nodded, running over to Scopes. "Scopes, hey...HEY! can you hear me, man? Shit..."

Redd had been untouched by the accident. But he was hanging upside down the seatbelt holding him against the seat. He felt all the blood rush to his head.
"Help?" He asked, not seeing the wreckage.

Monica tried to crawl from the wreckage once more. this time she barely even moved and she heard a sickening rip of the flesh and the wound in her stomach grew. Blood rushed from her body at a fast rate. "Jesus fucking christ!"

The figure looked down, wrenching the door in front of Monica open. "Take it slowly, that wound is going to get ripped open if you're not careful..." He said, soothingly, taking off his sunglasses. Two glossy black eyes watched over her, looking at her wounds and assessing the situation. "Hmm...you got messed up pretty bad. I'm sorry, but it looks like your two friends in the back aren't going to make it." He said, sympahetically.

monica forgot about her pain and fear took over. "What? No! No no no!" she looked over at Hal. "Fuck no! He can't die!" Tears ran down her cheeks making her cuts sting.

The Suited figure was taken aback. "Hey, woah, calm down...come on, ley's get you out of there. Try to crawl forwards a little bit, then i'll be able to pull you out." He said, in the same soothing tone. He shot a quick glance over at the two in the back. Hal, lying on his side, motionless, and Jackal, impaled with the armrest. That one made him cringe.

Monica nodded slightly and crawled forward gently, feeling her wound start to rip again. She winced coming close enough for the man to drag her out. He can’t die, he can’t die!

"Ok, brace yourself, this'll hurt quite a bit..." He said, then quickly yanked her out, wincing. "OK, now i need to see that wound." He said, pulling a bandage out of one of his inside pockets. It would do for now.

Monica winced. the pain was unbarable.
She would care about the pain later. "How's Hal? Will he be okay? Pleaase tell me he will be okay!" She said, well yelled.

The figure looked down. "Uhm...who's Hal?" He asked, and Ghost looked over. "He's over here..." He said, dragging Hal's lifeless body out of the car. "Oh fuck..." The man said,and looked back down at Monica. "Just hang in there for a second..." he said, running over to Ghost's side. "Shit. Put pressure on that wound..." He said, and Ghost followed his orders. They were tending to Hal for about an hour. The figure wiped blood off his hands with a rag he had in his pocket. "Ok, he should be OK, but it'll be a while before he's back in working condition..." He warned, and ghost nodded,gratefully. The others had managed to pull through as well. The assassins hadn't got their targets this time.

Monica sighed with reliefe. Her wounds pulsing.

Scarlet looked at Redd aas he hung from the seat. "Okay put your hands on the hood."
"Huh why?"
"Do it!"
"But why!?"
Scarlet rolled her eyes and unbuckled his seatbelt and Redd fell from the seat, his head hitting the hood of the car and he yelled.
"Fuck!"
"I told you to put your hands up."

Bloo staggered to his feet, feeling dizzy. He looked around, to see the figure in the suit sitting on the wreck of the car, smoking a cigarette. Bloo walked over to him. "You get roped up with the assassins as well?" He asked, and the figure shook his head. "No, i just heard about them, then i saw them attacking you lot, and couldn't just leave." He said, and Bloo nodded. "So, what's your name then.

The figure flicked the cigarette away, sighing and looknig out over the rising sun.

"Name's Midnight."

Monica sat up and leaned her back against the car. She looked up at Midnight.

Scarlet looked at him and frowned. "Smoking kills, and its nasty as fuck."

"I know, that's why i do it." Midnight replied, blankly. He looekd around. "We need another car." He said,stating the obvious.
