Monica shook her head. "I'll just take my car, they're probably miles away at the moment.

Redd shook his head. "They're coming fast, we'll all have to squish i guess."

Scarlet over heard the conversation. "Oh joy. Hal just shoot me so i can come back with a fixed leg."

Hal looked round. "What? you serious?!" He asked, and Jaxle sighed. "We don't have time for this. Oblige her!" He said, and Hal paused. "What the fuck...?" He said, to himself, then turned, shooting Scarlet through the head. Bloo winced, turning so he couldn't see.

Jaxle fell backwards, then appeared at the gate. "Yo, scarlet?" He called out, looking through the blackness.

Scarlet looked around seeing Jaxel. "Hey, I’m just happy my leg is fixed. I felt more Helpless then usual." She smiled at him. "Okay do your thing!"

Monica winced at the shot and sat in her car staring at the steering wheel, thinking about Hal's facial expression when he saw the tarot card. What spooked him so much? She rested her head on the wheel waiting to get the hell out of there.

Jaxle clicked his fingers, then opened his eyes. "You still with us, Scarlet?" He asked, sitting up.

*Just realised, scarlet must be Jaxle's auntie O.o*

Scarlet's eyes opened wide, her leg was healed, her bullet wound in her arm was just a mere scar. She stood up and looked at Jaxel."Thanks." She smiled, happy that she could walk now.
"Alright who's going with who?" She asked.

Monica was happy that Scarlet could walk, but also was getting worried about Scarlet's sudden agreement with smoking. It wasn;t like her to be so. . . not stubborn.

"I'll go in the slower car." Jaxle said, and Hal looked over. "Yeah, me too."

Bloo looked over at the BMW, grinning.

"I'm going with Ghost..." He said, and Ghost smiled. "You're not ready for this." Bloo laughed. "Oh, just try me."

Scarlet shook her head. "I'm going whereever Bloo is going."

Monica started up her car, gripping the wheel hard, thinking she might brake it.

Redd shrugged. "I guess i'm going with my brother."

Ghost grinned, revving the engine of his car. "Ooh, listen to that!" He said. He turned round.9 Redd was blindly staring in to...well...nothing, and Bloo had tears in his eyes. "It's...beautiful..." He whispered, a smile spreading across his face.

Scarlet whiped the tear from Bloo's face and rolled her eyes. "I don't get you."

When everyone was in the car Monica pulled away from the wreckage. She stole a glance to Hal no words came out of her mouth though.

Hal looked at the roof of the car, saying nothing. How much time did he have left? It wasn't right. How could he leave Monica now? His thoughts were flooded with emotion.

Monica couldn't stand the silents. "Hal, what's wrong? Why the hell won't you tell me what the fuck is going on?"

Hal looked over at Monica. "I...If..." He started, then broke down, putting his head in his hands. "You deserve so much better than me..." He said, his voice almost a whisper.

Monica pulled over stopping the car. “Hal? What are you talking about? I deserve better?” She turned towards him. Tears in her eyes. “What are you trying to say?” she feared he was going to leave her. She looked at Jaxel, confused.

Jaxle sighed, looking down. He had nothing to say to either of them. Hal looked down. "No matter what happens, i'm going to die." He said, then closed his eyes. "I don't want to do that to you." He said, his voice shaky.

Ghost looked round. "What the fuck have they stopped for...?" He said, spinning the car round. Bloo's head hit a window,and he swore. "Dude! What the fuck?!"

Monica blinked, confused. “Hal what the fuck are you talking about?” She felt a tear run from her eye. She couldn’t take anything anymore, the assassins were gone and everything seemed fine now. She felt a pang in her stomach. “H-Hal, are you leaving me?” She asked a waver in her voice.
She turned towards her wheel, her hands shaky. “Y-you’re leaving me?”

"No...I....i couldn't...i couldn't..." Hal whispered, the shine in his eyes fading.

Two headlights shone over Monica's car, as Ghost lit a cigarette. "What the fuck's going on..>" He said, frowning. "Something isn't right here...."

Monica looked back at Hal Tears running down her face and dripping off her chin. “Then what are you trying to say Hal? Just tell me please!”

Scarlet frowned. “I bet you Scopes knows.” She said and looked at Bloo who had hurt his head. She ran her fingers through his hair to see if it left a bruise.

Redd frowned. “Monica is crying. I can hear her, what the hell is up with Hal?” He asked slightly emotionless.

"If i die...." HAl started, his voice a whisper, barely audiable, "If i die, i can't come back." HE said, at last, not daring to look up. Jaxle put his head in his hands, closing his eyes."

Bloo looked over at Ghost, who looked back. "Something's definetley wrong..." He said, and Scopes looked over. "If hal dies now, there's no way back." He said, at last, looking over at Bloo and redd. Ghost gasped. "What? But...he always survived. It was always me, taku and bloo that ended up six feet under!" He said, and bloo nodded, silently.

Monica looked at him confused. “W-What? You mean you can’t come back? That’s not possible.” She looked at him. “Tell me this is a sick joke, I would be so happy is this was a joke.”

Scarlet shook her head. “No! But he’s so. . .awesome. Hal can’t die.”

"It's no joke..." Hal whispered, as Jaxle stepped out of the car. Hehad to leave them alone for a while. He shut the door behind him, lighting up a cigarette. A gunshot went off, and it was blown out of his mouth.

Scopes sighed, lowering his rifle. "I hate cigarettes..."

Jaxle sighed, looking at the destroyed cigarette.

Scarlet laughed at Jaxel

Monica put her face in her hands. her body shaking. "No, no no no. Hal there's no way that's true." She looked up at him and without warning wrapped her arms around his body and cried into his chest.

Hal put his head on Monica's shoulder, silently. "I'm sorry..." He whispered, closing his eyes.

Ghost looked over. "Shit, let's just give them some time alone." He said, switching off the engine of his car. Jaxle walked away from the car, to the sidewalk.

Monica was speechless. She didn’t want him to die, die and never come back. She didn't want to feel the emptiness she had felt for all those years without him. She didn't want to feel the ripping pain in her chest.
She held onto Hal not wanting to move, not wanting to breathe anymore. "Hal, I love you." She said this as a whisper.

Scarlet looked to Bloo. Remembering how close she was to losing him forever. Pain flashed in her eyes.

Hal couldn't say anything. He couldn't move, speak, think. All there was left was emotion. Jaxle watched, being reminded. Reminded of what he'd be leaving behind. Why he couldn't die.

Monica then remembered the athorities were well on their way and she broke apart from him. "If we don't go now we'll be busted by the police." she said whiping tears from her face.
"Jaxel get in here." She said trying to forget that Hal only had one last chance at life, meaning while he was living they should make the best of it.
