Side Stories: Steve and Jackal

Steve sat in the back of the helicopter, polishing his sniper rifle. Jackal sat opposite him, loading a revolver. The pilot looked back at them. "Hey, you two! You know your mission, right?" He shouted, and Steve nodded. "Eliminate the primary leader in the terrorist group stading against us." He replied. The pilot paused. "I take it you know his name?" He called back. Jackal looked up, this time. "Hal Whisperwind." He said, and looked over the other members of the squad. Easy mission, Steve thought. He never imagined it'd be his last.
