Laberynth

*Lewy darling, that'd be Gluttony.*

Scarlet and Monica both nodded.
"I heard it all right." Scarlet said, she was shacking a little. Being the younges and less exsperienced, she was acared easily.

Monica scoffed.
"Baby."

*meh, i can never think straight at 3:43am lol*

"That....was the most dangerous thing in the laberynth. And it's found food." Hal said. "We need to go."

Monica nodded and Followed Hal.
Scarlet followed shortly behind.

Taku ran through the trees, Gluttony smashing through them behind him. Taku cast a quick glance back at gluttony, then looked forwards...straight at the waterfall he was running towards. One moment there was solid ground below him, the next...nothing. Taku fell, with a sudden realization of the situation. Gluttony roared in protest of losing his prey, and Taku spun through the air, continually falling. He hit a rock, and it ripped through his arm, dislocating his shoulder. Then, without warning, he hit the water. Then, nothing.

Monica gritted her teeth, her wolf ears twitched and picked up the sound of crashing water and or the frustrating bellow from the demon.
It was an earsplitting shreak that made her grip the sids of her head as in rang through her mind, making her head throb. She shook herself trying to get her balance back.

Scarlet looked at her with wide child-like eyes.
"Someone's not happy." She mummbled and looked at Hal.
"So...a Whisperwind..? What's that..?" She asked.
Scarlet had heard of them many times in her past, faint memmories of three siblings, all nameless and all faceless in her mind. Scarlet hadn't the slightest clue what she was, who her real parents were, and why she had these odd abilities.

"A family." Hal replied, then stopped, looking at Monica. "What did you hear?" He asked quietly, out of Scarlet's earshot.

Scarlet mummbled the words Hal had said to herself.
"A family..." She said and shook her head.


Monica looked at Hal with worried eyes.
"I heard...A demon, it's hungry. I also heard Taku." She cleared her throat.
"He jumpped." she said and took in a sharp breath.
"I heard a splash, i think he jumpped into the water, i have no clue why, i have no clue where he is. It echoed."

"What?" Hal asked, confused, then blinked. "We have to step up the pace." He whispered, then ran forwards through the treeline. He looked back, at a river, then looked forwards in to a cave. "Damn it..." He whispered to himself, then started to back away as three shadows emerged from the cage. "They survived the trip..." He said to himself, pulling out a barbed knife.

Monica frowned.
"what the hell..?" She asked and hid behind Hal.

Scarlet hid behind Monica.
Her eyes closed.

The first shadow swung an axe with inhuman speed, the blade cutting through Hal's shoulder. He winced, swinging the knife at it's face, but missing. The second shadow drove a knife in to Hal's gut, and he staggered back, cutting it's throat. The first one swung the axe again, and Hal barely managed to throw himself out of the way. The third shadow silently raised a bow.

Hal staggered back out of the way of another axe swing, stumbling. The shadow advanced, smashing the axe deep in to his shoulder. Hal howled, driving the knife in to the shadow's heart. It fell, revealing the third shadow.

The sound of a bowstring being released echoed through the forest.

Hal's eyes widened and he looked down at the arrow embedded in his chest. Blood from his moth trickled over the wood of it. He looked over his shoulder at Monica and Scarlet. "Run." He said, then fell to his knees, blood from his wounds splattering the dead grass. The Shadow walked forwards, slipping another arrow on to the bowstring. Hal watched him, breathing heavily.

Monica gritted her teeth, baring her wolf-like fangs. She growled and looked at Hal in the eyes. She took a deep breath and did as he told her.
She ran.
Monica knew if she stayed there, and something happened to her, Hal would beat himself up. She felt tears well in her scarlet colored eyes as she pumpped her legs hard and moved with inhuman speed.
She wanted to go back, but knew she wouldn't find her way back.
She stopped and turned around, her eyes locked with a deadend. She swore under her breath.
She began pounding on the wall with her fists, she pounded harder and harder, letting her flesh break and blood drip from her fists. As she rammed her hands against the laberynth she saw that whenever it broke, it would mend itself.

Scarlet stood perfectly still, her violet eyes wide. The freakles on her pale face and the fear in her odd colored hues made her look like a scared little girl. Her gaze never left the shadow.
Her mind was frozen.
She had no clue what to do, and her body wouldn't move.

Hal looked up at the shadow, then without warning jumped up, kicking the bow out of his hands and trying to bring the knife down on him. The shadow grabbed his arm, and headbutted hal, who fell bakcwards. The shadow looked at Hal's knife, turning it over in it's hands, then ran forwards, diving on hal and driving the knife towards his chest. Hal struggled to keep the knife back, but then the shadow punched him with it's free hand, then drove the knife in to his chest. Hal gasped, his hand breaking away from the shadow's arm. It got up and draged him to the edge of a steep rocky hill, then waited for one of his friends to appear. The shadow heard movement, then through Hal over the cliffside.

Scarlet gasped wide eyed. And ran to the cliffside. She dove after Hal, flying towards him. She grabbed him, gripping a handfull of his clothing and gripping his arms to her. She closed her eyes and with a with a whisper they appeared on the ground. She felt his blood soak into her shirt and she gritted her teeth trying not to look down at his wounds.
"You sure as hell have a problem with getting stabbed." She mummbled.

"That thing's gonna be back." Hal said, drawing another knife, and looking up. "Here it comes.." He said, coughing, as the shadow dropped off the cliff, landing in front of them, staring at them with cold malice. A crooked knife hung from one of it's hands, and it walked forwards, towards Hal and Scarlet. "Get back from that thing." Hal said, as the creature advanced, seeming to hiss.

Scarlet looked at Hal with wide eyes.
"Oh no buddy, you're injured way too much." She gritted her teeth.
"You're coming with me!" She put her hand on his shoulder and closed her eyes.
They appeared somewhere in the maze facing a river, the waterfall crashing down, making a loud rush.

Monica gritted herteeth and started running again, hoping to find her way back to Hal

Taku lay on the bank of the river, staring over the white rocks. The wite and red rocks. He watched the two appear out of nowhere, and thought he saw his brother. He rolled on to his back, bleeding from a cut on his side, then tried to force himself up.

Scarlet looked between the two and frowned.
"Are youi kidding me!?" She yelled and pulled Hal down beside his Brother.
She looked at Taku in the eyes her black hair sweeping back a little, showing a little of the electric glow from her eye. She pulled out her medicine pouch anf began to patch him up.
"You two seriously have bad luck." She said with a small laugh.

Taku nodded. "No breaks for us. Unless you men literally," He said, gesturing to his dislocated shoulder.

Scarlet gritted her teeth, she couldn't get a good veiw with her black hair over her left eye. She took in a sharp breath and pulled the glossy raven-feather-like strands from her face reveiling her electric blue eye.
She grabbed his shoulder and with a quick jolt it popped back into place with a sickening crack.
She then began to sew his wound shut after cleaning it.
"Well you should be fine after a few hours of rest."
She looked at Hal.
"Your turn buddy."

Taku growled as his shoulder was re-located, and his other hand went to it. "DAMN!" He shouted, closing his eyes. Hal looked at Scarlet. "Your eye..." He whispered, then he struggled to his feet. "You're a spirit...?" He asked scarlet.

Scarlet blinked hard.
"I don't know." She said in a low voice. Her eyes shifted between each brother.
"I never knew my parents, I was adopted by someone from the Raven Clan. I don't remember anything past the age of 10"
She grabbed her medicine horn and walked closer to Hal.
"Sit the fuck down or you'll tear your wounds more."

Hal looked around. "So, how did we get here?" He asked, his blue eyes shining.

Scarlet shook her head.
"I have no idea, but we'd better go find that Demon-girl of yours before she gets herself killed." She said harshly. And finished up patching Hal's wounds.
"You have a lot of scars buddy." She said placing her stuff back into her medicine pouch. Her eyes then met his gaze and her brow furrowed.
"What is a Spirit anyways..?"

"Spirits are the reason demons haven't overrun the forest. We live for thousands of years, and kill thousands of demons in a lifetime. Oh, and We die 500 times." He said, and Taku looked over at him. "What?" He asked, and Hal shrugged. "That's what they told me." He replied, and Taku frowned. "Who?" He asked, after a while, and Hal looked at him like the was stupid. "The dead spirits, of course....who else?"

Taku raised his eyebrows. "Yeah, who else..." He said, sarcastically.
